Topotarget A/S (NASDAQ OMX: TOPO) is a Scandinavian-based, international biotech company headquartered in Denmark, dedicated to improving cancer therapies. In collaboration with Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, Inc, Topotarget currently focuses on the development in pivotal studies of our lead HDACi, belinostat, which has demonstrated a clear anti-neoplastic effect in both hematological malignancies and solid tumors. Belinostat can be used in combination with full doses of chemotherapy, and is currently in a pivotal trial within peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) and phase II in cancer of unknown primary (CUP).

The company counts ~24 employees, covering expertise in a wide spectrum within drug development through to commercialization. Topotarget's core scientific expertise lies in the biological mechanisms underlying DNA damage control (topoisomerase II), chromatin replication control, and cell cycle regulation.

Totect^®

In December 2011, Topotarget announced the completion of Apricus Biosciences, Inc.'s purchase of 100% of the outstanding common stock of Topotarget A/S' American subsidiary division, Topotarget USA, Inc. The acquisition included all Totect® North and South American assets, including the Totect® sales team, and the US trademark Totect®.
