 TopoTarget's focus is on drugs which target key molecular mechanisms associated with the cell cycle, chromatin control and DNA damage. Such drugs should exhibit greater selectivity for cancerous cells and thus have fewer side effects than current treatments. TopoTarget A/S has several promising compounds in the preclinical and the clinical pipeline. TopoTarget’s first product on the market, Savene®/Totect® for anthracylcline extravasations, was launched in Europe in October 2006 and in the US in October 2007.
